Homemade Fruit Popsicle
The weather is warming up and it’s time for popsicles, ice cream, milkshakes, and all those other cold treats!
Instead of store-bought popsicles with unknown additives, you can try these homemade fruit and yogurt popsicles. They’re naturally sweet, packed with nutrients, and incredibly easy to make with just a blender and a few wholesome ingredients. You get the benefits that come with drinking a smoothie in popsicle form!
Ingredients
2 cups fresh fruit (berries, mango, peaches, or a mix)
1 cup Greek yogurt (regular or vegan yogurt works, too!)
1–2 tablespoons honey (adjust to taste)
1 tablespoon chia seeds
Instructions
Start by adding your fresh fruit, Greek yogurt, and honey into a blender. Blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust the sweetness if needed, depending on how ripe your fruit is.
Stir in the chia seeds after blending. This helps maintain their texture and gives the popsicles a boost of fiber.
Carefully pour the mixture into popsicle molds, leaving a little space at the top for expansion. Insert the sticks and place the molds in the freezer.
Let the popsicles freeze for at least 4–6 hours, or until fully solid. When you’re ready to enjoy, run the molds under warm water for a few seconds to help release them.
Tips & Variations
You can layer different fruit blends for a striped effect or add small chunks of fruit for extra texture. For a creamier result, use full-fat Greek yogurt; for a lighter version, opt for low-fat or non-dairy alternatives.
