In Element
The crunch of heels trekking through the towering trees.
Distant echoes of hikers chattering on the whim.
The easing whisper of the wind.
The melodic chirp of birds chatting as they flutter in and out of the sun-rays.
Distorted hums of electricity leaking from those continuing on in the outer world.
The crisp inhale of sweetened damp-wood and an exhale of relief.
